Our mission, process, and how we earn revenue
SecretAli exists to solve a simple problem: AliExpress has millions of products at factory-direct prices, but finding the genuinely good ones is difficult and time-consuming. We built an automated scanner and assembled an editorial team to do the hard work of filtering, evaluating, and recommending products so you do not have to.
Our goal is to be the most trusted source of curated AliExpress deals on the internet. Not the biggest, not the flashiest — the most trusted. Every product we recommend has been vetted against our quality criteria, and every editorial decision is made with your interests in mind.
We use a combination of automated scanning and human editorial judgment. Our Secret Deals Scanner queries the AliExpress product catalog every six hours, filtering for products that meet three minimum criteria: a discount of at least 30%, a buyer rating of 4.5 stars or higher, and a minimum of 100 confirmed orders. Products that pass these automated filters are then reviewed by our editorial team, who check for accurate descriptions, legitimate pricing, and practical usefulness.
For our buying guides and product reviews, our editorial team conducts hands-on testing whenever possible, supplemented by extensive review analysis and seller evaluation. We describe our evaluation criteria transparently in every guide and encourage readers to do their own research before purchasing.
SecretAli is operated by a small team of product researchers and writers who share a passion for finding genuine value in the global marketplace. Our team has collectively made hundreds of purchases on AliExpress and has direct experience with the platform's strengths and limitations. We are not AliExpress employees, affiliates of Alibaba Group, or sponsored by any brand — our editorial recommendations are independent.
SecretAli earns revenue through three channels:
Importantly, affiliate commissions never influence which products we recommend. Our editorial process evaluates products before checking affiliate availability, and we frequently recommend products that do not generate affiliate revenue. Our readers' trust is more valuable than any individual commission.
